Helen and Frank Guesthouse in Budapest

“Your home should tell a story of who you are, and be a collection of what you love.”

Oh this is one happy story.
So me and my friends planned an impromptu trip to Budapest. We were in Vienna for work and on one weekend we decided to go to Budapest.

Now it was a Friday night, we were booking our tickets and we were discussing stay options.. They suggested we should stay at a hostel.. And normally I’d be okay with that but this was my first time in Budapest.. And I wanted to stay at an Airbnb in a nice little locality.. I always prefer Airbnbs over any and every other type of stay. I booked an Airbnb and they decided they’ll just find a hostel someplace near the city centre.

So next day we are in Budapest.. Early in the morning.. And we go visit the Citadella and do a short trek.

By the time we start to descend it was time for check in. We were going to split, I was going to go to my apartment and they were going go find a hostel.

I let Helen’s daughter know – that I’d be there in an hour and she wanted to know if I was going to stay alone. I told her about my two friends who wanted to stay at the hostel instead of the Airbnb. And I also told her that they are going to regret their decision after they see the pictures 😛 Now she told me – that I could let those two friends stay with me if I wanted to.. At no extra cost!

So then right before we were going to split I tell these guys “why don’t you just stop by my Airbnb and check it out.. And then you can go to the hostel.” They agreed 🙂

We self check-in and as we walk inside.. I see their jaws drop to the floor!!
To be honest – so did mine!

It was way more beautiful than what the pictures depicted.

Every inch of the apartment – I literally mean every inch – of it was ART! You could spend hours exploring each nook and corner! You could write a whole blog about each corner of the house!!

NO MORE CHATTER. Have a look at this gorgeous apartment –

My favorite part was the bath! It had a chair in it!! It was so freaking royal!!

Eventually, I told my friends that they could stay with me at the apartment. They were so happy about it and so was I. Their company made the stay more fun.

The listing is no longer available on Airbnb.
It is however on Tripadvisor.

I hope when you go to Budapest you stay here. There is no experience like this one!

Alternatively – if you want a budget stay – here is another Airbnb listing that I’ve stayed in on my second visit to Budapest –

The host Agnes is a total sweetheart. The apartment is beautiful just as it looks in the pictures. Its very clean and cozy. There’s an AC too for the hot and humid days and that’s a blessing! She also gave us a bottle of complimentary wine <3 There are many bars and restaurants on the same street as this apartment! You will not fall short of options irrespective of whichever cuisine you’d want to dine.
