Maldives
“Endless blues.”
There are so many clichéd ways to describe Maldives –
Maldives is often referred to as a paradise.
Maldives is love for many.
Maldives is what dreams are made of.
Maldives is an escape like no other.
Maldives is sun, sand and the many shades of blue.
So many people have feel so many different emotions for this one place.
And you know what? All of these are true. Maldives is worth the hype!
Take it from me – someone who feels Paris isn’t worth the hype. I did not like the food there and every corner of the city is too too crowded! Where are so many people coming from! And I might sound like a snob because I come from Mumbai – which itself is so overly populated. Anyway – the next time I go to Paris will not be during the summers.
Coming back to Maldives – yes, it is a paradise and it does feel a lot like love.
I stayed at two different properties in two very different types of rooms. I wanted to experience the beach and the sea – separately! So the first one was a beach villa and the second one was an over water villa. They are two very contrasting experiences, I personally would recommend you to try both.
So here is a quick blog on both of the properties.
Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa
Ocean Pool Villa
This property is luxury at its best. I don’t need to talk about the standard that a Marriott property sets. But this one goes above and beyond and the hospitality is truly wonderful.
I stayed at the Ocean Pool Villa. Do you want to know what my mornings looked like? As I lay in bed – in front of me was my private pool and beyond that was a huge expanse of sea – and I could see the sun rise and give the most perfect blue color to the sea.
Our room had multiple shower options, the outdoor was my favorite. But I also loved taking long baths in this gorgeous bath!
Spent too much time in the pool everyday.

Sheraton has over half a dozen of dinning options. I tried each one of them over my 4 nights stay at the property but it is difficult to pick a favorite. Each restaurant has a different theme and vibe to it and each one of them has a stunning view! So I recommend you experiment with all the different options they have, you won’t be disappointed by any.
There is a lot to do on the property. They have all sorts of water sports and recreational activities. You could also hire a private sail boat and spend your evening in the sea chasing sunsets. Or you could spend your day lazing on a sun bed. You will not fall short of things to do at this property <3
There is one experience that I would highly recommend for you to have. Reserve a sun bed for yourself, catch the sun set over the ocean as you enjoy a drink, and then watch the moon rise and light the ocean up right in front of you <3
Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa is luxury at its very best! I dream of being back here again!

Noku Maldives
(Formerly known as Zitahli Resort & Spa Kuda Funafaru)
Over water bungalow
I don’t have words to describe the view I had from my over water villa. Have a look –
How do you even begin to describe a view as stunning as this?
We watched some of the most amazing sunsets from our villa, every evening the sky wore different colours <3
The view for our bath was to die for <3

A quick note about this property – This is a adults only property, no kids allowed. Its very different from Sheraton. This one has more of a boutique feel to it. It has limited rooms and many times when you are out on the island taking a stroll, you get this feeling of being alone on a paradise island. That feeling is something I will cherish the most about this place. You will need to charter a private sea plane to get here. But the view from each corner of the property is worth it.
I think I left my heart in Maldives.
